Office for Community Faculty
With your help, the University of Nevada School of Medicine seeks to increase the number of physicians in our state and better the health and health care of Nevadans.
The mission of the Office for Community Faculty (OCF) is to support those committed to educating tomorrow’s physicians. We do this by building relationships between community faculty and the University of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM) to promote the advancement of medical education. UNSOM medical students begin working with community faculty their first year of medical school and continue to do so throughout each year of the medical school curriculum. It is this hands-on learning with trained community faculty that give our students increased exposure to patient care and helps them to better understand the medical field, making them better doctors who care and understand their patients.
Your gift to the Office for Community Faculty supports the volunteer community physicians, nurses, researchers, and others who give of their time freely to support medical education. Your contribution will help the School of Medicine maintain the benefits that these volunteers use in their teaching such as the obtaining of and access to Savitt Medical Library databases, continued use of MedU, and discounted CME credits. Further, the OCF is able to offer benefits to our volunteer community faculty like access to the University of Nevada School of Medicine’s WolfCard, a limited parking space when on campus to teach, and more.
By helping the Office for Community Faculty you are serving our state and bettering the health and health care of Nevadans. Thank you for your support.

When making a gift by credit card, please note that a processing fee and a transaction fee equal to the amount charged by the credit card processor will be deducted from your donation. This does not affect the tax deductibility of your total gift, but it does reduce the total funds available in the fund you are supporting. No fees apply when your donation is made by check.
